A virus is an example of a computer program that can replicate it. It can replicate itself from one computer to another. Viruses make unauthorised changes to your computer system.

What can a virus do?

Most viruses are able to conceal as attachments in emails which can either be image, audio or video files. When any of these files are saved on to your hard drive or opened on your operating system can harm your computer, damage, corrupt and possibly erase many elements of your hard drive.
